at least you tried.png

Hi guys,

Bad news.

I didn't get any more writing done for NaNoWriMo.

I was hoping to get some more done before this past week, but unfortunately things went pear-shaped this month. If I am truly honest,  I know that I could have definitely put in another 5,000 words in, but life got shitty and work got super busy. Also, I had my laptop stolen a couple of weeks ago and didn't get a my new one until this past Monday so that definitely threw a spanner into the works.

I don't want to make any excuses so what I am hoping to do is get up 50K words in December. My primary goal was always to get into better writing habits and I didn't quite get there with this NaNoWriMo. I feel that the habits are starting to form, I wasn't editing as I worked, and I didn't delete too much, if anything. This is a huge step for me because I find it extremely hard to leave the words alone. The cringe factor is still there, but I can work past it and know that I can go edit  when it's the right time.

So I guess, all in all, it wasn't all terrible. I can't help but feel a little disappointed with my effort, but at least I tried. Like I said, it's never been about the 50K words and all I can do is just to keep going. I guess there's always next year.

December seems like it's going to be an easier month for me, even with all the Christmas stuff. I have some holidays coming up in January too so I am going to try and get as much written down. Maybe I'll have an epiphany!

Final word count: 12, 219 words

Much love,

Ps. Here's a shout out to my beautiful besties, Sophie and Reuben, who got married on Saturday!!!
