The Sorting Chat Ep 3 - The Books that Haunt Us

Hello friends,

Sophie and I are back! I am so excited to have The Sorting Chat up again because we've been wanting to revive this for so long. So here is episode three in which we talk about books that haunted us, specifically A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin and the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman.

TW: When we talk about A Little Life, it deals a lot with sexual abuse. Skip forward to 20:58 if you would like to listen to the other parts.

It's been over a year since Sophie and I recorded our last podcast so the editing is a bit shoddy for this one. I am getting back into the swing of things and hope to have it less amateurish for future episodes. While I was editing this late last night/early this morning I couldn't help but cringe at the way I stumble around my words and sometimes make outright mistakes but I know it's something that will get better with time, we're still rookies in this game!

Creating this podcast with Sophie has been one of my best things I have ever decided to do in my life as talking about literature is one of the reasons we became such great friends.

I hope y'all enjoy!

Much love,
